What a wonderful sense of humor and gift for writing the author has. We have all experienced these things as chicken owners and yet I found myself laughing at what she has learned. What a wonderful read.

This is the best accounting I have seen for what to have in your chicken doctors bag. The pictures, generic names, and translations to the US equivalent along with uses are just what someone needs to set up and be prepared. Thanks for doing this. Very helpful.

If you have never experienced a hard molt with your chickens before, this article will show you what to expect with beautiful detailed photographs. Even if your you have never seen a hard molt, Alice's story is fascinating. I highly recommend this article.

Having observed my chickens for several years I knew they pecked with different amounts of force but I never paid attention to all of the different types of pecks. The author does an excellent job of explaining the characteristics of each pecking type. So much so that I can immediately recall seeing some of the same behaviors in my flock. I will be watching closer now and I expect I will better understand my flocks behavior even more moving forward.

This is one of the most creative and enjoyable articles I have ever read. I especially love the quiz at the end. Excellent touch.

This is fine primer for explaining basic genetics by using the rose comb gene as an example. I think the title is a little misleading but otherwise it was fun and informative.
