I liked reading how your plans evolved, that seems to happen to most all of us. Good job on building and documenting your build. Love the planter boxes too!

Looks well built and a nice size for the flock. I like the shady area the coop is in, that will help keep them cool.

Thank you! That shade is definitely valuable during the summer and I’m so thankful for those trees.
Another thoughtful article from Mountain Peeps! Well written, easy to read and good pictures.

I like to see what people can make from materials they find, you did great! I like the size of the run (and the boat dust bath).

I really enjoyed reading your story. And all the thought you put behind your reasons for building the way you did. Very informative!

Thanks - I plan on writing about my experience as a chicken guy in winter. I got into this worried about predators and winter. I'm now only worried about the crazy weather usually get.

It's always good to be able to repurpose existing materials, that really helps keep the cost down. One thing, I would recommend using hardware cloth for the run and openings (in place of or over the chicken wire). It costs more but is worth it to protect your flock.

Nice to get some added use out of leaves, straw, lawn clippings, etc. Your garden must look good!
