Good job! I liked the "what not to do" spoiler, that could save someone else from trying the same thing. Really impressed by how easily it drained.

I was surprised too how well it works.

Interesting set up. And showing the tools used was helpful. Wow, that many birds so fast? I'm impressed!

Good detail! I found it especially interesting about the different materials the roosters and hens prefer.

Thank you for reading and rating the article.
I'm very interested in why it seems roosters prefer moist soil for bathing. I wondered if there is a different level of oil secretion between the sexes or the dry fast baths serve a further purpose for the hens.

I like the total enclosure of the shed, that should help keep your flock protected. Wish there had been some narrative to go along with the photos.

Nice large enclosure providing protection for the flock from above and tall enough for people. Extra care was given to the pre-fab coop to strengthen it and flock size was limited to prevent over-crowding.

I use this same recipe. Super simple and the cookies taste great. I like to add mini chocolate chips to the dough or put a small pb cup on top when the cookies come right out of the oven.

Great idea! The shades will be a big help keeping everyone more comfortable (and the cost to make them was good). Helpful pictures!

I've seen a lot of coops built from recycled materials but never one with toilet lids...very original!

It would be nice to see some pictures of the actual building that went into converting the shed. I like that the shed was large enough to separate the ducks & chickens.

Great coop for a hot climate, lots of ventilation and room for the flock! I also like that your article included mention of things you've modified since it was first built.

You and your handyman did a nice job building the coop. From the egg picture, looks like your flock approves! Just one thing, do you think you have enough ventilation?

Thanks for the review. We do have ventilation holes above the front side (door) and on the opposite wall as well (also a door). Since I clean the coop regularly, ventilation seems sufficient. As well, the chickens are out free ranging all day, so get plenty of fresh air. Thanks again for your review.

A well-rounded kit to keep on hand for those inevitable emergencies. I especially like the idea of the head lamp to keep both hands free.

What a great idea...a coop built on a heavy duty wagon! Good job with the building and with documenting how it was done. Very nice looking.
