Great pictures and informative too!
But I have to say that’s a lot of work ...

Considering we can sprout in a mason jar or any tray for more birds , I hope you have a lot of chickens and time

An interesting read and well put together article , congratulations

Thank you. It's not my intention to sell the book. I'll probably publish on the web and possibly charge to cover my costs. If enough people like the book I might see about producing a hardback version for sale. I'm really pleased you liked the article.

I like the clean lines of this set up . To much “ fluff “ like fabric or plastic wrap or for me a well intended pillow case can lead to certain death for our littlest babies ...

Keep it simple , keep them safe .

Thanks for the great pictures , I’m a visual learner and I learned a lot .

Good points but there are so many dynamics involved, like location , micro climates, size ofcoop , number of birds ...

Do and don’t is too black and white for me to agree with .

I’d just have to say that 2-3 years is generous. The laying stops just after 18 months or is very inconsistent.

Also , it’s very sad to watch them literally break down . Their feathers break and they get super skinny, but their bodies still try to produce those eggs ,

an example of mankind messing with science to get what they want ,

I love my birds , these broke my heart

There is nothing cuter then a dad and daughter , her in a tutu and him in construction gear, I have two girls and a carpenter myself!

Great job , I’m sure your wife is very happy with your new adventure. It looks nice and is well thought out .

Now I have to read why you ditched the linoleum.
