I made this chick brooder from simply:
    x4 zip ties
    A large storage box
A small amount of chicken wire.

    It can easily be accessed

IMG_6506.JPG I will soon use it for 2 Hyline chicks with an eco-glow 20 heat plate

:thumbsup What are you using for heat? Consider a heating pad (Blooie's thread = MHP) Keep in mind the plastic storage bin retains alot of heat, so IF you decide to use a heat lamp ensure the chicks can get out of range if they get too hot. Depending on how many chicks you get, this step up won't be large enough after a couple of weeks ;) I've started chicks off this way but move them out after a week (observation) into my brooder in the patio.

Like I said, "I will soon use it for 2 Hyline chicks with an eco-glow 20 heat plate". How many chicks do you have and could you please show me a photo of your brooder? Hopefully, they will be alright in the brooder until I put them outside (Around 5 weeks) :)
