Almost daily I get asked for a recipe for something. I often am asked what I am preparing for our supper. With that in mind I thought I would start a thread and keep it going daily with whatever I am cooking for supper. I will try to photograph and include recipes as needed.

I am going to start with yesterday's meal and then add todays meal in the next post.

Lamb Stew

This is meat from the lamb ram I processed . It was slow cooked with onions, garlic, carrots, tomatoes, fingerling potatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary.

I served it over a bed of basmati rice and a side of castiron cornbread .

Today's Meal

Oven roasted Blue Orpington Chicken Breasts (seasoned and wrapped in bacon)
Red Potato Salad with dill (red potatoes boiled, chopped egg, tiny bit of chopped onion, dill pickle relish, mayonnaise, heavy sprinkle of dried dill)
Petite English Peas (frozen, microwave in glass dish for 8 minutes, add a pat of butter, salt and pepper to taste)
Bread
Iced Tea

I forget, did you skin those breasts when you processed the birds? Everything looks delicious so far. Of course now I want to eat.

Yes, I skinned them. That's why I wrapped them in bacon. Skinless chicken dries out too fast for my preference and the bacon keeps everything moist.

That's what I was thinking. I'll have to try the bacon and see how I like it, as I don't usually even like the white meat.

What a nice little bonus service to provide us with. Thank you!

I'm on my way to the store right now...if I can ever get away from checking on everyone on the forum...
