I only really give my birds some sunflower seeds before shows and what not, because if the eat too much it stops taking affect and won't make there feathers shine

Orpingtons can come in many different colors, there is one type that is mostly white, with brown to black specks splashed around, these are called Splash Orpingtons, other types of Orpingtons are black, blue, white, buff, and many other less common colors
If you have a garden and have extra or not good to eat pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, or zucchini you could throw it in the run with them for a little treat that they love to eat, and if the don't get it all it will grow and they can eat the plants too.
Just wondering do chickens eat acorns? A friend of mine said that his birds eat acorns so I tossed all of the acorns around my yard into the chicken pen so they could eat them, but they just sat there and the chickens didn't eat them.
