    What kind of quail do I have?

    I'm not sure what kind of quail I have. I thought he was bobwhite at first but then he started growing that crest thing. He or she is about six or seven weeks of age. I'm not sure his gender either. Hopefully this picture is clear enough, I live in eastern Washington .

    I don't have any chickens. I found out he was a male today by the noises he was making. I want to get another quail to house him with but I'm not sure if male or female would be better. Also he's sort of tame, and has never been outside in his life.

    He has two different areas here he likes to play. His cage and a mirror with branches and toys. He does feel secure there though. My family picks him up and moves him to bis food when he screams because he's 'Hungary's but I tell them that that enables him.

    Thank you for your help! It's hard though when my family gets annoyed and moves him to a different location, which makes it worse.

    So sweet! Yes it was a bad idea to feed the kitten regular milk. He looks old enough to be eating cat food. But since he is so skinny he probably won't be used to it. You might want to feed him kitten formula. You should take him to the vet. I would recommend keeping him if he is healthy enough...
