Hi Debbie,
What are your ameraucanas like? Color, disposition, health, and laying rate? I'm looking for some, and my birds get pretty good retirement packages =)
I'd say in general my turkeys and chickens get along. The exceptions to the rule are the roosters and the toms - they will bloody each other out of pure stubbornness during the breeding season.
As far as breeds go, I can't complement the royal palms enough for temperament. My old tom is such a...
I started sand this year. So far, it keeps up much better than the shavings; the constant rain has created some muddy sand areas though. I think it probably needs raking more often than I do it.

Hi Emily,

Has anyone seen this - I had a baby turkey born this year that hatched a little late. It was such a sweet little guy, and we handled it a lot as a baby because its siblings...
Yeah, the Bloomington store has lots of things, but not spark plugs for my tiller or oil filters for my mower >='
I'm surprised Lawrence county has these issues - some friends of mine in Springville are pretty happy with the zoning down there. I'm not a big fan of restrictive laws against people...
Hi y'all,
I haven't had much free time so I've been a little scarce (I come back and there are a hundred pages of backlog! o.o ). Updates:
- I'm now certified to do blood testing for NPIP. I haven't been able to find anyone else who does this, so I don't have any antigen to do the test, nor do...
