Got this the other day, it was a few feet from the nestbox, they must have shoved it out, they pushed out the cracked eggs out of the nestbox in the winter as well.

Funky bloom? I get these occasionally and one I cracked that looked like this appeared tainted (the yolk was dark orange in spots and light orange) and smelled off. Is this an egg where the bloom isn't properly formed? Or is this an instance of where the shell is porous and just inclined to seep...
Is this frostbite? She's had something similar in October and it ended up being dried on yogurt. It's been in the negatives lately and this showed up. It feels hard and seems to be getting thicker. Hard to get a good close up they move so fast.
Is my chicken molting? She's 9 mos old..more feathers lately in coop and run and dry flaky stuff that comes off the feathers are in the coop. Could the diet have anything to do with it? They've gone on a potential strike against their layer pellets...so they eat more scratch and hand outs..rice...
