These two black chicks are 8 weeks old, dad is a blue English Orpington. Hens are Orpington and Easter eggers (their surrogate momma is this silkie). Can anyone tell if they're male or female? Thanks!!

I'm anxiously awaiting a call from my sister. She has been in the chicken coop for the last hour+ watching a raccoon while I tried to get ahold of my parents. No one answers their dang phones! Thank goodness she saw the tail, or it would have been a terrible sight in the morning. I would cry...
