Thanks. Eliza is my first EE. I have a BA, BO's, and a RSL and they all started laying around 22-26 weeks.

Is it likely that a 19 1/2 week old EE could have laid her first egg? Very small and white egg.

I sell $3.50 a dozen for large/extra large and $4.00 for the jumbos. I can't keep up with the demand as I only have 3 girls laying with 2 more to start in October. I'm in western Michigan.

Not a scream, more of a low cluck. She puffs up her feathers. I have found some of her down like feathers in the box with the eggs. All of the girls like the same box.

I'm wondering if it is possible that my 11 mo old BO could be broody? She is spending ALOT of time in one particular nest box. I was worried that she was egg bound, but after checking, I don't think so. Help! I'm really worried about my sweet girl.

Just a picture update to me 2nd time using MHP. The babies are doing so well. Bonnie is a Buff Orpington (my 3rd) and Eliza is my 1st EE. She is feathering really pretty.

Okay, so I was at the feed store and got suckered in by the cuteness. Pulled out my trusty MHP and voila in a matter of minutes two new happy babies.
