I don't know what is getting mine. Whatever it is doesn't eat the entire thing, most of the chicken is still there when I find her. The stomach is ripped open and the neck is mangled..... If anyone knows what would be the culprit, I would love to know....
I was allowing my chickens to roam free during the day, and last week I found 2 nests where they had been laying.. I do have a rooster.. I collected the eggs, and would like to be able to eat them. How do I know if they are edible without cracking them open????

I have 10 hens and 8 have been laying for a while now. The last few days I have gotten a few really small eggs, are they from new layers or could it be my other one just laying a smaller egg??? :fl
I was thinking of incubating some eggs, and was wondering how long do I leave them on the counter before putting them in the incubator. Also, my incubator doesn't have a turner, so how often do I need to turn them and how far do I turn them? I would love to have this work, but am very worried. u
