It took over a year to talk my husband into getting chickens. When I got them he told me to tell me what I wanted for a coop, and he would build it.....little did he know....
After many weeks of reseaching various coops here, and taking ideas that I like from different ones....I finally came up...
I thought I was doing great figuring out how to make a page and post pictures, but the final product shows a small box with a red x in place of the picture. It has the title of my picture, but no image. What am I doing wrong?!?!

I just have to give a shout out for the Black Australorps. I had no idea that mine would be my favorite chicken! They dont get much credit around here- but my Bella would melt anyone's heart in a second.
I have 5 chickens- all different breeds- makes it very easy to tell who is who! even my 3 year old daughter knows which is which. My red star looks a lot like my RIR now that she is growing (they are 9 days apart which make it very easy before to distinguish)- so far she is lighter in color...
grrr....I am so frustrated! why does the computer keep telling me that my image is too large to upload for my avatar picture? I just use a regular non fancy digital camera- never had any problems before. I dont know the numbers or anything...

I gave mine some meal worms the other night- they loved them. I hope I didnt cause any harm!
I've tried a few times with mine- they just are not interested for whatever reason. they end up walking in it and making a mess but not eating any....
for some reason they act like I'm giving them poison when I try to give them treats- I dont get it.
how many are you getting? if you are getting several, they will keep eachother warm, otherwise I would bring a hot water bottle (covered with a towel so as not to burn them) to keep in one corner of the box.
