I was hopping to find someone who was a serious breeder that may have more unique birds. I also wanted to buy them local to help support local people before having them shipped.
Their prices are ridiculous. I am a breeder myself and know that one bird is not worth how much they charge. Looked and for a red golden male by itself they wanted $150. I can buy pairs and trios for that price locally.
I am trying to figure out an aviary size for the Reeves pheasants. I have tried to research the topic but keep getting different answers. Those of you who raise them would be the best source I believe. First off I hear anything from 100 square feet to 200 plus. What is the recommended area. I...
The problem is that i can find eggs on ebay but i am trying to avoid that route if possible. I would prefer to find someone on here or closer to me first so egfs dont have to travel too far. I have people that are traveling almost 3 hours to get eggs from me. That is how rare they are in my area...
I am not starting out i have kept and breed pheasants and other poultry for years. I am trying to work on getting new lines. I got out of ringnecks due to the fact that too many people have them and no one want to pay anything for them around here. I would love juvinile/adult birds but no one...
I have peafowl eggs for sale. Very limited supply. They are pure IB or IB/Spalding. My spalding hen is a bronze Spalding carrying white and white eye which has thrown white and pied chicks. I am NPIP certified and a state liscensed game farm. Eggs are $25 each plus shipping. I also have red...
I know this can be done depending on the temperment of the birds. The main question I have is, egg fertility during breeding season. Those individuals that have them together do you have issues with this. I am thinking of trying it out this year but do not want to bother if i will have to...
I am looking for easter egger and maran pullets. Do you have any left? Also prices and ages. And if i were to get 6 what would shipping be to zip 32344.
I have numbered zip ties for the bigger birds. I need a band that is numbered for NPIPthat will fit on pheasants. They have really thin legs so i cant get the zip ties tight enough to still read the number.
I am wanting to start banding my flock. The issue I am having is finding good bands for adult ornamental pheasants. What do you use and where do you get them?
Here she is. She is spalding split bronze carrying white-eye, white/pied and black shoulder. She may be a "mutt" but I enjoy the anticipation of seeing what she will throw with my IB male.
Thanks Phil hope to do more buisness with you in the future.
That is why there are disclaimers galore on hatching eggs. I looked into shipping chicks but for a very small seasonal producer it is not feasable. All the cost involved no one would pay the prices i would have to ask.
I am working on getting NPIP certified and looking into shipping hatching eggs. There seems to be so many forms that are supposed to be completed and sent everywhere. Can someone who has done this that can help me weed through it all. I am already state liscensed so i dont have to worry about...
