I once again have a fertile egg from the juvenile pen this year. The egg is half the size of a normal egg but is fertile at two weeks with movement in the egg. Probably never know which hen it came from. There is a peach pair, a charcoal pair, a white spalding pair, two new color hens, two...
Checked the first three eggs of the year last night and all of them are fertile! One is from the Super Secret Pen #1. Did not get a fertile egg last year until egg number 18.

Someone asked me via PM recently what the brooder pens look like in our barns. I erased the PM so I don't remember who it was. Here are some videos. I think you will get the idea.
How can anyone get tired of this? Just need a couple more brooder barns, five more pens, several tons of feed, a new Natureform incubator and, oh about 25% of Brad Leggs for sale list..........

I figured I would start a thread that would get us all spooled up! I am bored.
Over time there has been a lot of discussion about genetics in the peafowl forum. There is a lot of good, correct information out there but there is also a lot of bad information and partial truths. I decided I...
The Bronze pen was productive this year. I have the following groups of this years hatch available. The prices are group prices. I would consider selling individual birds as well at a possibly higher price.

........and just like that, breeding seasonis over for us. No eggs for nine days. Started this thread for everyone to post their results for the year and some of the things they did differently that helped or hurt their breeding and/or incubating/hatching success. We, obvioulsy, still have...

These three birds were weird colored from day one. The come from the same group of one peacock and three hens. Two of them are becoming more normal, however, one is a weird outlier. Anyone want to first guess what they are?
It has, quite frankly, been a horrible year for us so far due to incubator issues. I have had time lately to build a new grow out barn. Hopefully we can fill it up soon.
Here are some pictures. Sorry I did not document my progress but it is pretty simple.
