I have been searching all the LG threads and cant find an answer to this, so here goes!
I have a brand new LG 'bator and I am planning on doing my first hatch starting saturday. I decided to plug it in today to see that all the parts worked. It came with this crappy little cheap thermometer...
I have had my little flock for months now, last week I brought home a chicken and didn't quarentine. (i know, i know) Well, the night we got her we seen her sneezing, but didnt think much of it at first. By the next morning however, her sneezing had gotten a lot worse and we took her out and got...
My 9 week old Birchen cochin accidentally got left out of the coop last night in the run. I was in bed with a pounding headache and my husband went out to close the door as we always do after 10pm. This morning I went out to let them out and princess Laya was sitting still in the center of the...
So I have some really miserable people in my life who love to make life suck for others. I am in love with my chicks and often spend hours out of my day just siting in with them and petting them and feeding them and holding them or just watching them be silly month old chickens.
My happy place...
Here are 5 of my 6 EE chickies tonight playing in the coop. I never thought I would be so happy to see poop all over all that hard work! I swear they are exploding with growth and I wanted to see if anyone had any guesses as to gender yet?
Here they are:
ARIEL
CORAL
MARINA...
Omg! I cannot believe I am now the mommy of coop living chickies!! My babies are all in their coop tonight!! They have been in since about 11am. They did great all day, and tonight the Christmas lights mixed with pink paint, heat lamps, and fresh pine have it bright and warm and happy enough to...
2 sexed delaware pullet chicks from Crackle hatchery. 5.00 each. I am trying to scale down my flock and decided these two I can live without. Very healthy and happy little chicks. born 3/26.
I am in Canton Ga.
I have 6 EEs I bought from TSC a few weeks ago, and I see that one of them has a completely different comb than the others. Do they have different kinds of combs bc they are a hybrid breed or is there a pretty standard comb? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I can post pics if I need to...
Really stressing the run part of the build coming up next and while I plan on getting that part done next week, I am stressed about how to be able to get into the run, or is it really necessary at all? Can you get into your run?
This is the only chick I have that still at 4 weeks today I have NO idea what she is. I would love to get an idea. I originally got her out of the assorted bantams bin at TSC (the only one in the lot with a stripe became an instant love for my 5 year old daughter) Sara (again, named by the 5...
I see pics of everyone else's chicks that are my chicks age and they all look HUGE compared to mine. They eat great, I know their ages, and get lots of play and treats and sleep....but for some reason they all look tiny in comparison on here.....
I am worried mine are all weaklings?
anyone...

I see a lot of roosts as a ladder type structure (even like the one in my brooder) but in my coop I wanted to give areas to roost at different heights and in different parts of the coop. I plan on having an additional ladder type roost in the run if they so desire to hang out on one, but is the...
almost 4 weeks old, I am afraid my Dixie is a Roo. This is hands down my favorite chick and impossible for me to have boys here. I need your opinions please.
also, while I have you, what is the verdict on thoughts of Shadow, the one BR chick I kept from what seemed like my all...
If all my chicks were born in this month, when should I possibly expect eggs to start showing up? I know I have read somewhere about molting and not laying in cold winters? I live in the deep south and we are lucky to see freezing a whole lot in the winters. Do you think I will see eggs this...
I noticed tonight on my STUNNING (imo) fuzziest footed beautiful cochin chick these weird striped feathers coming in under (her?) chin??
Are these indicative of a beautiful giant Rooster that will also sadly leave my flock, or just signs of possible mutt-ness?
3 weeks old and what I thought...
