    Egg carton method question

    Today is day 16 and I have my eggs in cartons tilted at a 45degree angle, turning the carton from side to side 3 times a day. On day 18, do I put the carton flat on the bottom or still tilted? Or should I take them out of the carton and lay them on their sides on the wire? Thanks

    Started with 12, now down to 8. I dropped one!

    I started with 12 eggs from my flock (all BR hen X white rock roo). On day 10, I removed 2 because they were not developing. Tonight -- day 14-- I got one out to candle and I dropped it on the floor! So I didn't even try to candle anymore. I'll try again tomorrow. Butterfingers!

    Just candled eggs/Day 12

    I have 11 eggs in the bator and I could see movement in 8 of them. I'm very excited. This is my first time and I can't believe that it might actually work!
