    How do you figure out the age of a chicken? I bought a Welsummer hen and I don't know her age. I have 8 hens and I get one egg a day. Do they stop completely during cold weather..I am ready to get rid of all and start over! Most of the I raised myself from spring and they are not laying either...

    On Saturday I bought 4 new chickens: A Buff Brahma Bantam, A Mille Fluer D'ucle, A standard light Brahma and a psycho Welsummer hen. Ireally want to let them out to free range. How long do they have to be in their new coop to know that is where they should return after free ranging all day...
