Well mom has decided that 8 chicks is enough and left the eggs. Is there anyway to salvage them without a incubator? I’ve got one of the chick warmers they go under. Maybe I can put the eggs under that? Or will it just cook them?
We have a small creek that runs through a grassy area in front of our house that is a PAIN in the butt to keep the grass down with a weed eater. So originally I was going to get a couple of goats to keep the area cleaned up but it's really mucky and wet, I have jumped across it and sunk up to...

I had just let them out of their run for a hour of yard time and was inside the house when I heard the girls clucking like mad outside, well I went running out there cause it just didn't sound right and what I thought was a chicken under a bush was actually a hawk! it was under there going after...

I have a board with sticks screwed to it for the chickens to go in and out of the coop but the silkies that are 3 months old WILL NOT use the thing, they will just huddle in a corner of the run till i come in and then they come up to me to be lifted into the coop, its about 18 inches off the...
