My friend had to get rid of one of his chickens so i took her in she is about 5months almost ready to lay. The rest of my flock is 6 hens about a year old, my new chicken is about the same size of them a little smaller. But they r pecking her in a corner and i dont know if i need to seperate her...
My friend wants some chicks and i have fertilized eggs from my hens, but i wasnt sure which incubator is cheep but efficent. Anybody know what the best incubator is that is cheep?
My hen layed her first egg friday and it was really long and bigger than the grocery bought eggs this is a picture of what it looked like. Its the brown one.

I have an Orpington Roo and a Delaware hen that my roo favors. I want to hatch some chicks but I dont know how
an Orpington/delaware mix would act? Does anyone know anything about hatching mixed breeds?
So my roo is 18 weeks old and I think I just heard him crow for the first time. It sounded different from the hens cackle but like a low witches laugh. Is that his crow?

okay so my chicken seems to look older than my others and has the shiny pointy feathers but doesnt act like a roo at all. What gender is it? It is about 16-18 weeks old and has never crowed. It is a Splattered orington nifvvEe4
