Just looking for any tips and tricks other might have or have used to make this process smoother. Recently just threw another Roo in there with them and had to take him out and give him back to the previous owner b/c he was keeping two of my ladies from the flock all together.

Just bought a 50lb bag today at the local feed store. Now for the questions!!! I have an 8x8 coop using sand as litter. What is best way to apply it to the litter and how much should I put down??? Also how often is this needed to be done?
What do you use/ what should/could I use???? ( I'll be using sand as litter F.Y.I. if this helps or makes a difference)

Just curious as to how everyone using sand as litter was scooping out the poop??? Would be cool is there was some giant pitchfork like cat litter scooper!!! Just wanna be working smart not hard ! Thanks for the comments!
Has anyone used or know of anyone to use this to cover there run with???? If so are they're any Cons to using this as run cover?? I'm considering this as oppose to hardware-cloth as it will be much easier and have to use less lumber to install. Please post your thoughts, facts, concerns!! Thanks.

Was wanting to grow a grass bed inside the run I'm soon to build and was curious if anyone knew if there is a certain type of grass that chickens like more than others???
