Just wanted to post a few pics of my best pal out at the barn-Hansel. Hansel and Gretel are my Sebbies and are 4 months old this week. I got them from Dorothy back in April, and I have to say, they are the most personable birds I have ever owned. Wherever we are out in the yard, here comes...
Hi, all. We'll be attempting to hatch a few buttons, and have never hatched any type of quail. From what I've heard, temp and humidity are the same as chicken eggs, and they take 17 days to hatch. Is this correct, and is there anything else I need to know? Well be using a Hovabator, and...
These are my very first Seramas, courtesy of eggs that I got from Greenesacres. I had a great hatch! They're a month old, and growing so fast. They're a bunch of little cuties, for sure!
And just because he's (or she's) my favorite:

Meet my new bantam Columbians from Erin (Msbear). They hatched this past weekend. She sent 16, and 10 made it to the hatcher after candling--All 10 hatched! Go Erin! Very healthy little fuzzbutts........
How cute are they??!! Thanks Erin!

Wasn't sure which section to post this topic in, but does anyone know if the American Standard of Perfection book includes Bantam breeds, or do you have to get the Bantam Standard book to get the standards on bantams? They're kinda pricey, so I don't want to get both if bantam breeds are...
These hatched this past weekend-beautiful little Black Mottled and Mille Fleur D'Uccles from wwmicasa1. This was my best hatch yet on shipped eggs-and they came all the way to Louisiana from California! And can I say that Black Mottled D'Uccles are just precious-they look like baby penguins...
I recently hatched out Dominique chicks from eggs that I got from someone I get a good bit of birds from. I've gotten Dominique chicks from this breeder, and they all have pea combs. My oldest from her are about 5 months old, and have younger ones also-all with pea combs.
My chicks that I...
Can anyone out there tell me about what age should I expect my RIRs to start laying? I know they'll all lay differently, but just wondering when to expect eggs from them. Thanks........

Please help me name my puppy. She is a 7-week old Basset Hound, and we cannot think of the perfect name. Here are a couple of pics of her.
Thanks,
Paula
Well, my hatch is done. I ended up with 5 little fluffy butt Orps!! They're 2 days old now, and just as cute as can be. I think I've got 3 Blues, 1 Splash, and 1 Black that is an Orp/Brahma cross.
Paula:)I think this is the Orp/Brahma cross. He is such a cutie.
Hi, I need a little help, please. I purchased these from someone this past summer as Ameraucanas, and am thinking they are EEs, but I need those who know to please help me determine what they are. The first 2 pics are of the same roo. The third and fourth pics are of another roo. The fifth...
These are from eggs that I hatched from Miss Prissy's eggs. I've been meaning to post these, but can never seem to find the time. Now that the kids are back in school, I finally have time!! These were taken on Dec 26, at about 9 weeks old. What do you think, Angie??
Paula:)
I bought a few hens this Summer who are supposed to be "Ameraucanas", but I'm pretty sure they're EEs. Anyway, no matter, I was just thinking they would never lay, and guess was I found in the laying box yesterday. A pretty blue egg. I can't tell you how excited we were! I think I'm hooked...
Here are a few pics of my buffs that I hatched from Julie's eggs. There are 6 buffs and 1 blue. These are at 4 weeks old. This was their first time playing out in the run. The 3 older ones whose fluffy butts you see in the third pic are my Sizzles from Jaynie. Paula
They are so confused right now. My hubby poured concrete in another one of my coops. He also poured a walkway leading to the coop. They kinda got a late start, so the concrete is still wet. Well, those chickens are ready to go to bed, and they are not happy. Neither is Hubby, cause he is...
Well, the neighbor's kid finally did it. He shot one of my chickens. My bantam Polish hen, shot in her head. I cleaned her up and found the wound. I'm sure the BB is still in her head. I didn't want to dig around in there too much. I put antibiotic ointment and gave her a shot of Tylan 50...
