Quail eggs for eating questions...
How long do they stay refrigerated? How do you boil them? Do you peel them the same way? Any other advice would be great. Also telling me how to pickle would be awesome! Not spicy pickling though.. I am allergic to some types of peppers and such in spicy pickling. I would like any recipes that... -

Little Miracle...
Okay due to a freak accident my 2 button quail babies I recently hatched died. I heard a mysterious pew pew coming from my bedroom. I looked everywhere couldn't find the source. Hatching with egg cartons??? Please help!
I have recently heard that it is better to hatch them in egg cartons/trays... Why? How is it better? I incubate in egg cartons/trays. But have always placed them on their side to hatch... Any info would be appreciated. -

Candled 7 or 8...
Out of nearly 2doz coturnix eggs tonight. Lockdown is sunday night. Saw 4 or 5 definite babies in there! Nice size air sacks and good movement. Been watching the temperature carefully and the humidity. This is my first hatch with coturnix!!! -
Candling Pekin Duck Eggs Day 6!!!*FINALLY WE SEE SOMETHING*
FINALLY!!! We see something!!!! Thought #4 was a goner... But we saw light veining and possibly a SMALL embryo!!! And in eggs 1-3 we think saw movement!!! Def saw embryos in eggs 1 thru 3!!! Lockdown for 16 button quail eggs tonight!!! Hatch day 8/13!!!
Dropped one as I was putting it in the bator it was yolk so no biggie. Candled the rest pretty sure I saw movement. Saturday night we should have babies!!!! -
Put them into lockdown last night..
And I welcomed 2 new fuzzy button quail into the world tonight! They must have known I would need the hatcher thursday night!!! 2 more eggs left to go... But doubtful they will hatch since this batch had a rough start... The bator got knocked over terribly and all the eggs bounced across the... -
Mixing small amounts of grogel???
I got a packet of grogel supposedly enough for 400 quail chicks... How do you mix only a little bit of it? Like for 10 quail??? If someone could give me measurements, do not need to be exact, approximate is fine.. I would just like to be able to make enough for 2, 4, 10, or 24 quail chicks and... -
