    Eating Eggs! >:(

UGH! SO we have roughly 15 laying hens and today I went out there and guess what? 4 eggs! 2 of them had yolk smeared all over them yet there was no trace of broken eggs in the nest so I know they ate the rest of the eggs. Is there any way I can stop this behavior? I collect eggs after school...

Ordering silkies and polish for February shipment. Is this safe????

I order from the same hatchery. I ordered 25 cornish rocks in Feb and I live in Utah. They were all fine and lived to butcher age. Make sure they are due to be there on Monday or Tuesday and let the post office know about the arrival and to call you AS SOON AS they arrive.

I have honey bees. They are cute little fuzzy bugs. They are not at all aggresive. I can work in the garden while they are right beside me on the flowers. You should start a hive. They are fun to have. The honey is SOOOOO good. I couldn't help myself, I had to go dip a spoon in the fresh...

    Earthworms

Mine love worms. Thats how I make friends with my shy chickens. I find worms and i run to the yard to give them to the girls. I love how to roosters are such gentlemen and pick up the worm and drop it and give to food call so a little hen can have the worm.

    Farm name

haha yeah it does sound like we are raising something exotic. I thought of Ol' Red Farms. I really like that one. We have a red 97' Ford we call old red and I plan on painting the rest of my animal structures red. So I think that would be a cute name for a farm.

    Chickens wasting SO much feed!!!!!

Alright. Our chickens are wasting a TON of feed. We feed lay mash that we get from a feed mill for a lot cheaper than tractor supply stores. And I swear there is about 1 1/2 barrels of lay mash on the floor. They just flick it out of the feeder and don't eat it. Our barrels are about 250 lbs...

I want to buy 6 silkies next year and breed and sell them (possibly keep a few.) We have a big market here for silkies. I was wondering how do I have a hen set on them? My dad says he is waiting for the rooster to attack my grandma and then he is sure that she will let us get rid of him. My mom wants to stuff him and put him in our house! LOL!!!! That would be so weird "That is my rooster, he was mean so we stuffed him." I would feel guilty with him staring at...

    Vicious Rooster Please Help

I don't know how to tell her that we are getting rid of him whether she likes it or not. "Hey Grandma, I'm gonna go kill the rooster, sorry but he's done making me mad." She would be mad. Plus I have no idea how I am going to catch him...
