    Wounded peacock

It’s soft and bleeds. It seems to be the skin pulled down from the leg. Like he was tied up with one foot

So I found him on the side of the road. He has a large hole in his foot, the skin is green. The band looking thing doesn’t seem to be a band but skin that is pulled down from the leg. I cleaned him up and gave him a penicillin shot. I soaked his feet in epsom salt and then used Neosporin...

In Va, you can shoot the dogs I'm sure it is the same in W.Va, I'm not one for killing anything but your neighbor has no regard for your animals so what choice do you have. When my neighbors dog got my chickens, she felt bad and started locking him up. She also said she would if he did it again...

Chickens like moths, but I would take it back and get a new bag. The feed store should do that with no problem. It must be older feed or a bad batch

Oh NO! Broken knee! My mother's chicken. Please help!

I know this sounds bad , so sorry but you should kill her . It would be best. Even if you splint the leg and keep her still for 4-6 weeks she will never be 100%. It isn't fair to do this to the hen. Again I am sorry about your hen and it is hard. Wishing you the best.

Do I need lights on yet???

An old german man told me to have the lights on all year. So that is what we do. LED christmas lights, use hardly any power and its on a timer. Some of the girls don't come in until almost dark so they like the light on.
