I have ten chickens, two with names for reasons, the rest just named randomly.
1.) Noto--shes a silkie and shes missing a toe on both feet for genetic reasons, and we wont be breeding her because of it, but we still love her to death! So we named her Noto, short for No-Toe.
2.)Smoky--she is...
Post your unique and amazing gardening ideas below, and I`ll post some myself, starting with these:
Take some old hay bales, line em` up, and spray em down with water. Do this about three days. Then spread powdered blood meal over em and spread a tarp over them, leave it ten days. Take it off...
UPDATE: the coop has been fortified so well that I think even an inch worm would have trouble getting in! The chickens are unhappy with it but are safer. I put their grain in the coop, and ive stopped letting them outside by day. I don't have the time to watch them. Thanks for the help!
thank you for the help you guys, I did search and it is most definitely a fisher. I'm going to fix up my coop and close my chickens inside the coop at night. Thank you. You probably just saved ten chicken lives. The pictures posted also told me.
A while ago one of my silkies got caught up in a net and her toe got really tangled. I had to cut it out. She ha dno injuries that bled but her toe was crooked, and when I set her down, she waddled a bit. She also has trouble perching, and even fell once. She slowly is learning to deal with it...
I was going down my road the other day, a quarter of a mile from my house and I saw a dark shadow in a ditch. I slowed and looked out the window, and it was this long, weasel like creature, but bigger. It had a pointed head and a sleek body, and it made the jump out of the ditch(a foot at most)...
amazing! Maggie would be an apt show dog, but I don't show her. . . and I think shed be kissing the judges more than doing the show! she sure loves giving kisses. We only have three dogs(well, no. we have 2, but weve paid for a third), and we don't plan on showing any. All of your dogs are...
Beautiful Aussies. . .do you train them for shows, or for the fun of it? Your second picture looks most like my Maggie, but she has no brown on her; just black and white. Are they all you have? DO you have more? So pretty!
I have several different perches, old fence posts sanded down and stuck in corners, like you said. I cut down a small, maybe five foot tall pine tree, and kept it in a corner with a perch, and they love(and I do mean, LOVE) that. There water dish is near this.
