HI everyone. I am a new again member of BYC.... had 60plus birds about 4 year ago, had to part with them all due to a move. I am now two days away from getting 4 backyard pullets...4 bantam cochins of varying colors.... I am maybe more excited then my 14 year old daughter of whom they are for...
she is quite dominant then...she looks like a hen..lays an egg like a hen, hahah..but, breeds the other hen like she's a rooster. She does the whole mount then tail/butt swipe thing..it's beyond awkward to watch...I always tell her...."you are not a rooster, dumb dumb"...haha...but...she doesn't...
So... a few days ago my mum noticed a hen mounting another hen, never thought anything of it.

Sadly though, we may be moving..not sure yet....but, it breaks my heart to think of rehoming all my work and all the ones I've grown to adore...
took some more pictures today..finally got some pics of my youngest EE gal, I had to keep this one too from all my hatches this spring/summer, I am trying to keep all the bold color girls...and I do like this gal, she's very quiet and calm, I think I am going to call her Waffles, not sure...
I love how this EE bird is becoming so popular..... multi colors are in this year, yay. I remember back when I first joined, the EE, was less discussed on here and in the market here in Canada. Now it seems the mixed breed mutt bird, is in high demand. I have no problems selling my EE's, people...
