Hello! Just curious if you saw the vet and what they said. We are currently going through a similar situation with our Poppy. She had a nasty case of fly strike, and hasa huge swollen bum. So I'm concerned that she might have prolapse that led to the fly strike.
Hello! Does anyone have a guess at what kind of rooster this is? I've been googling, and the only that I can find that have similar coloring are the speckled Sussex - but he's not speckled. His wing feathers were when they were just growing in, but now, not so much. Also, he's VERY tiny...
The beak and legs are blue/black. It's my only silkie, so I'm not familiar with how dark they should be.
I got her/him at Rural King. Supposedly, they get their chicks from two different hatcheries, but I forget which two they said.

I didn't cut the white thing open... I poked at it and chipped some shell away. It did look like a hard boiled egg white, but felt like the consistency of a shrimp.
I've found a few thin shelled eggs in the coop before. Maybe...
