Discovered my columbian Dixie is a roo today. Really disappointed. But my other 5 girls all laid today. They are fertile to bad they arent the right color.

Got my first egg from my barred girl from tigercreek yesterday. Now just waiting for the black and splash to start. Then hopefully my columbian Dixie that i got from scott. Hatched them a little i am new to that so i had to light them to get them to start. But they have started. Yeah!

My best mothers day gift this year was the getting the green light on more eggs. Yay! Now i have to decide if i want columbian or buff. And get the coop done so i can move my babies and make room for more.

They are columbian rocks 4h girl. Yard full o' rocks has them. Im allowed to get another color now so hopefully he has some available soon.

ok so is there a certain color that goes broody most often? Or maybe a certain line that does? I am going to want a few broodies on the farm.

Ok heres a quick question. I hatched eggs that was mostly blue, black, splash rocks. Are the blues solid blue to start out or blue and yellow. Also what do the blacks look like as chicks? Thanks.
