    Thanks both. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a girl but also have a few boy vibes. It's a very sweet timid chicken, and at 16 weeks maybe not long from laying hence the comb which has only just started looking bigger in the last 2 weeks.

    I agree, massage at least 3 times, even more if you can and when my girl had it I massage softly with a closed fist so my knuckles acted like different pressure points to break it up. Took a few days but it worked. Also i crushed up some tinned sardines with oil and they got gobbled up...

    Got my first egg from coco today, it was a little olive coloured egg, she mmade her a tiny little nest in the back of the coop, very exciting as she hatched from a brown egg and there wasn't a huge chance sheshe would lay coloured egg.
