I don’t care for the Silkie crest when it’s so large that it obstructs the birds’ vision. I much prefer a crest like the one Legbars sport.

I’ve never been a fan of commercial strain Red Sex Links they are supposedly a cross between Rhode Island Reds and single combed Rhode Island Whites. They are human friendly birds, but they are done right nasty to other chickens. Not to mention they are spent at 4 years of age if they don’t die...

I never really cared for Sultans, Crévecoeurs, or Houdans. The combination of a v comb and a large crest just don’t appeal to me.

The egg in the middle in tinted and the egg on the 2 green/blue eggs is cream since it’s slightly darker and has a bit of a pink hue.

The egg above the brown egg to the right of the green egg is what I call tinted. Not a white egg, but not a brown or cream colored egg. The egg to the left of the brown egg is white.

My Frizzle Bantam hen is the alpha hen in my flock. She’s the orange hen in the picture for this thread on the BYC homepage.

I have never really been keen on Frizzles. I only have one since she was a rescue. She won’t be kept with a rooster as her feathers are too fragile.

I dislike constant broody behavior that some breeds are known for. I wouldn’t want a hen who went broody 5-6 times a year.

I don’t particularly care for Malays, Shamos, or Aseels/Asils. Their build is too bulky and sparsely feathered for my liking.

I’m not a fan of Houdans, Crèvecoeurs, or Sultans. I just don’t find them attractive. Oddly enough I don’t think the fifth toe on Faverolles would bother me as it does on other breeds. :idunno

I actually really like Cornish cross. They have a really sweet attitude. Once I have my own property I plan to let a broody hen hatch out or I’ll just put day old Cornish cross chicks under her to raise. I’m curious how they will turn out.

I don’t particularly care for Buckeyes either. I think I’m not a fan of the red-mahogany color of Rhode Island Reds and Buckeyes.

I am kind of torn on feather legged chicken breeds. On the one hand I think they look great on Brahmas, on the other hand I don’t like sparsely feather legged chickens.
