I got a pic
it looks more pronounced and clearer up close and personal
the camera hasn't been able to capture it that well
Its a proper point at the joint
All and every single one of my keeper birds are PETS
no shows they are there for my and my families enjoyment
but it is still nice to have good examples
but with my Brahma the Hocks is ok as its desired in UK
seems like my brahma has the perfect example of Vulture Hock
I will take a picture later so people can see what it is
im not fussed as its desired in UK birds
there are some valid points there
mareks is one of those things that if not done in a hatchery then backyard breeders don't as the cost is not worth the effort
after having a read up
yes it seems that way
no mention of the word Vulture Hocks
but UK breed are far more profusely feathered in the feet than US versions
and its preferred that way
I will have to look into this
but I think you may be right
my dad has kept chickens before me and that was 30 years ago and I was always with him that's what got me into it now
and some of my fav chickens mind you I was a wee lad then... I used to call them Chinese Phantoms
Chinese why I...
thanks for the explanation of what it is but its raised a few worries
I have a brahma its only 7 days old but it looks to have a lot of leg feathering
when will I know if it has or not got vulture hook
