Well, I don't have any other roosters .. I'm not allowed to have them where I live :( I do have a few hens that can be quite bossy with the "youngins". Maybe one of them is keeping him quiet? AWESOME! Please let it stay that way!! How does he look quality wise? I love his crest!!

Is it common for a my AS roo to not be crowing? He is 8-9 months old and haven't heard him once. His name is Marcel :) Does he look.. normal? Not that I am complaining.. he can't stay here if he starts crowing but.. What do you guys think?

Yeah that's what I was thinking.. I know someone that has a male with a nice proper looking crest. Was hoping that might be an easy fix for improvement. I am not familiar with SOP but would like to try to get some chicks that are closer to that. I like their "mohawks" better than the "poofs"...

My Ap Spitz FINALLY squatted for me today!! WOOT WOOT!! She is nearly 6 months old (hatched Mid May). We did have a bout of dry pox here a couple of weeks ago so I am sure that slowed her a bit. Can't wait to get my first eggs from her

Can someone tell me about how long it takes Spitzhaubens to start laying? I have one hatchery female that is about 20 weeks old and getting redder in the face all the time This is my Harley girl
