I am so sorry for your loss :( I have to agree with the other posters, please do not bring your birds to an upcoming show. They should all be quarantined until you know for a fact that no one else has it. It isn't worth a ribbon/piece of paper etc if you are knowingly putting other birds at...

Ok, so I hatched a few blue silkies that have a lot of pink in their feet. Will they darken over time or should I go ahead and sell them as pets?

Great idea with the fans!!! Though I still think with the amount of Mosquitos around my house (super slow running creek behind us = breeding ground for em) my 3 will spend a lot I their outdoor time on our screened in porch.

Yea, then she might be lucky and there are no more eggs. Don't worry too much though. It is surprisingly elastic. I have done surgeries on the oviduct and had to suture it and the birds were back to laying the next day, no problems. Keep us posted on how she does!

Unfortunately it is very possible another was on its way. I'd keep checking to make sure if there was one it is on the right path.

Most likely a week tops. It depends on how fast her body adjusts. Honestly, it will probably only be a day or two. Just as long as she doesn't have light during her LH surge, there will be no egg. If you want to PM me your email I can send you some of the more basic notes I have on the subject. :)

You should begin to meal feed her I.e. a bit in the morning and a bit in the afternoon. Basically to inhibit reproduction she needs to be only having enough calories to support her own body not extra for reproduction. It's like a marathon runner, they do not ovulate because they are barely...

I won't be any help on explaining the computer side of things. From what I have experienced with my silkies: they are relatively easy to keep clean (except the white ones, they stain easily in our Georgia clay). Their feathered feet can be difficult to keep clean though. They do great in shows...
