From what I’ve read you are going to never have 100% hatch rate, so I expect to lose a few. There are 100s of reasons a egg could go bad, but to try to say the hole lot was bad, when you have a proven track record of good eggs. Ya I don’t think so..

Don’t give up! How long where you gone for? From everything I’ve read a temp drop or spike over a small amount of time, won’t hurt. Fix temp, deep breath, and keep going, only way to know is at candeling time.

Look local, search Facebook for poultry groups in your area, Craigslist, and check your state thread on here. I have a fear of the shipped eggs, this is my first hatch so no experience really, just read to many horror stories. eBay has some but I really think the prices are nuts.

Add location to your profile, this will help a lot, with people closer to you wanting eggs.

Just wanted to pass along it is day 7 +9 hours on the incubation. We ended up with 15 eggs we put in the incubator. Candled them just a few minutes ago, I forgot to draw the air sac lines but over all my daughter and I are ecstatic. It appears we have embryos for sure in 14 eggs with veins...

I just layed them down and took the picture lol, but thank you for the reminder I think I did forget to stand them back up. I’ll go check.

Well here I go I’m finishing the incubator build today, and I’ll be putting eggs in tonight maybe tomorrow morning, I’m waiting on new hygrometer to arrive today it’s out for delivery :confused:. these are are 100% no clue barn yard mix..they were free so I not complaining for my first try at...
