I'm sorry for your experience in dealing with others but I don't think that just not talking about them is the answer. I don't know what the answer is, but I'm pretty sure that that's not it.
Just keep looking under every rock and in every crack in the sidewalk until you find them. From the...
5 weeks? Are you sure? Did you mark your calendar? Chicken eggs only take three weeks.
You can take a flashlight with fresh batteries out and candle them. I use a minimag that has the lens removed and it fits very nicely on the end of the egg.
I was going to recommend Saladin here on BYC but it looks like he hasn't been on in quite a while. He lives somewhere in the south as well. I'm trying to find contact info on him for you.

After you have had your visit with him, it would be nice to hear about. Maybe if he lets you take pictures, you could share them on here?
Come on now Saladin, we're not ALL that bad. Some of us try to be brutally honest.
Is this the time of year where the sun never comes up in Alaska?
There is a lady on BYC that gets some nice thick, clear plastic to put over the southwest portion of her hoop house and it makes a nice sun porch for her birds to warm up by.
Another lady on BYC has sleeping boxes for her...
