4-H Arba show. At least I think that's how you say it.... I'm new to all of this.
All (by all, I mean 3 rabbits) our rabbits did fine, but I don't think any of them placed. One guy brought a nice tort Holland senior doe.
Well, we're down to 3 babies. From 6 to 3. :( Sad to see them go, but it was so fun to watch them grow! We'll be keeping one, a frosty Holland lop, from the litters.
Thanks for information. I contacted a nearby 4-H rabbit project leader, but no response yet. If they can't, I'll go on craigslist and see if I can find a reputable rabbitry.
So I want to enter my rabbits in the fair coming up next month. But, they aren't tattooed. I'm nervous to do it myself, and the kits are kind of pricey, so maybe we could get a nearby 4-H leader to help? Does any body know if they could do that? Also, If that doesn't work out, how does everybody...
We've lost a total of 6 bunnies. That means we pretty much lost a whole litter.
But, despite all the sad things happening, I LOVE watching them open their eyes! So fun!
We just found two of the babies from our litter of 6, cold and unresponsive. We have them under a heat lamp, and we have warm goat milk heated up. I don't our doe fed them because they were on the very edge of the nest away from their littermates. One is gasping and spazing out. I don't know...
I thought we lost the REW baby today. I did a head count, and only counted 5. Searched around for a little while, and found him in the front of the nest, cold. Warmed him up, and he's as good as new. Scary!
