    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

❤️ He's such a good boy! That's because he's a Boston! :D Bostons are the best!! You will never want to be without one again!

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Poor guy! He reminds me of a Boxer I adopted/rescued years ago. She was so skinny due to hookworms. The previous owner thought Heartgard was all she needed to treat an infestation. I wish you and your puppy all the best!

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Glad he's doing better! He's grown up so much since the last time I saw him. The video doesn't work right now. I would love to see him doing his Frisbee practice! My Bostie doesn't know what to do with a Frisbee. It's hilarious. (not a Frisbee 👆)

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I'd love to know how that works for you. My dogs are the same way - they can't stop eating things off the ground. I say leave it so many times every day.

Yeah, I bet so. He's like an Akita in a collie suit.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Very interesting! I know of a male rough collie who is not only ginormous but is not dog friendly and barks ALL THE TIME. He needs more exercise and stimulation but I don't think his owners can handle him. :( He broke his chain once and came after me and my dog.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Thanks. I wasn't planning on doing that, I've just been wondering. My two females are now getting along 99% of the time with close supervision.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Just curious, do you think adding a male dog to a household with two females that don't get along will make things better or worse?

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Sorry you had to, but I think you made the right decision. I have only had problems with interdog aggression from female dogs, but, then again, I've only had one male and five females.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I agree, return her while you have the chance and before you become too attached. I know it'll be hard to let go, but it's not worth the stress on you or the dogs to try to make them get along. I'm sure you'll find a good match for your dog.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Speaking of nails, how often do you all trim your dogs' nails? I trim once a week. I couldn't believe most places recommend trimming once a month! ??

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Lots of treats (I just use their food)! And having someone hold and praise the stubborn ones while you do it really helps. I give a treat after doing each paw and a few treats and lots of praise for coming to me and when they're finished. I use clippers. I also use an artist lightbox in a...

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I think of Pomeranians of having small dog personalities. I think Jack Russells are kinda similar, no?

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

Never thought of Jack Russells as having big dog personalities. I just thought they think they are bigger than they are. 🤔 A small dog with a big dog personality is a calm dog, IMO.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

That's probably fine in an old car, but in new cars, dogs can easily step on the button that rolls the window down.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I've also seen a GSD fall out of a truck window straight onto the pavement as they took a left turn. My dogs are safer because of those experiences.

    Chickentrain's Dog Q&A

I've seen a dog fight at a dog park. The dog who started it was a huge Malamute and the owners had it on a prong collar and it was pulling so hard as it approached the park. It began growling at the other dogs from outside the fence and I said out loud, "they're not compatible!" Then I heard...
