I now have two 4 week old Lavender Orpingtons, I will get some pics this afternoon.

Kdogg, Fortcluck, these are two of my babies after only two weeks and a couple of days, Swedish Flower Hens;

Their down is coming out and they are growing in new feathers, that creates a lot of dust

No cats here but they are on the other end of the house and the baby chirps drive my baby girl crazy some times....

I have some solar lights on the leghorns outside but what worries my with the SFH babies is the weather. It was upper 20s at until last night when the rain came in and it warmed up to the middle 40s. During the day it hasn't been that bad but of course I am not a baby chicken so...

Mine have at least another two to three weeks but they are growing really fast...

My babies are doing well, probably take some more pics this weekend. Had to move them to the bigger brooder through yesterday...

KDog, how much longer on the hatch?

You know what they used to tell me when I was younger, if at first you don't succeed, try try again...Good luck...

And I got these eggs off of EBAY,, if you can believe that...

Yep 6 out of 8 and 2 were infertile, so 100% of the hatchable ones

I hatched these from eggs that I bought..

I have a spare coop for them and it will do while they are small but I will have to build something larger later...

My SFH are about a week old and growing fast...

I will have to live vicariously through you until the spring when I can start hatching again...:ya
