    PDZ is in the horse things, stall sweetener. I mix it with play sand.

    I use a rubber bowl for dusting in the pen. Pen floor is sand, sweet PDZ mix over plywood. Bit messy but I use a cat box scoop to clean it out.

    These lil ones are getting use to us very quickly. The way my brooder is I am half in it to feed etc. Most of this hatch is going to the freezer. Only want to keep 5 adults for layers.

    Updated pic of my 3 week olds. Think I may need to build a new pen! Bit of a chick explosion here. Have a pair of month olds, then the 3 wks old and have a hatch going now. Think I may have a bit of a obsession.

    Quail calls from a 4 day old! So amazing how fast they grow! 17hatched out 2 have passed. Still have 3 days untill the hatch ends. Mmmmm quail nuggets.

    Lol, i should have chicks hatch for a week with this one. Plus I filled the bator the rest of the way Saturday with an egg shipment I received. Should be my last hatch for the year, unless I set more quail since they grow so fast.

    It should be ano almost week long hatch. Collected eggs for a week, then set those, collected eggs every day after and added those too.

    Thank you, doors slide to the left and I have only had one escape since far while collecting eggs. My current birds are use to me partially climbing in the pen after eggs.

    My quail pen/ brooder without the doors. The doors just slide left and right to open and close. I installed a strand of LED lights so each space is lit. It works more like a Woods Coop I think. I keep a fan on my adults when needed.

    Mixing it with play sand. It is working great, use a cat litter scoop and then add more. Just curious if anyone else is doing the same. My pen is a brooder box/quail pens with wooden bottom. One pen has my breeding bunch the other two are empty for now.

    Does anyone use PDZ in their pens? I have solid bottom pens, that I scoop out 2x a week.

    @ 50 of em with a week to go till hatch. Thinking to leave them in the rails on the bottom of the bator for hatching out. First time incubation on em.

    I am sorry I am new to cots myself. If you are using the app that may be your problem. Or if you ate a newer member you have not yet reached the required number of posts yet to share pics. Hope someone answers you soon on the quail.
