I've always wondered this too, but even with Orpingtons they are Gold Laced with the black lacing, but with blue lacing they are called Blue Laced Gold.

I would try putting her with another rooster (any rooster!) and see if they can produce any fertile eggs. If they do, I would say they are too inbred. If not then you need to find another hen. :(

That is adorable. :) None of my Blrw have gone broody... Yet. They are about 1.5 years old. They have cut down on laying in this heat and humidity though.

I have had a roo mating a pullet for a month and no eggs! Frustrating.

We are still selling eggs. We have all pure Foley birds. One trio and a quad is laying at the moment... the heat hasn't affected them so far. BTW we are in West TN.
