how many do you have??? allot of major breeders breed male and female lines... the males with white on his breast will breed females with not enough white on there necks to make better females... use your males with to much black over females with as much white as u can to get better in the next...
it will just lighten what black that is already there so not really changing much... if it was me i would try to find a really good SDW male to use over your fawn SDW hens... it should be allot easier to find a good SDW than a fawn SDW...
I am myself learning about OEGB as this is my second year with them as well... I have owned LF chickens all my life tho and know a fair amount about genetics's (I'm not yet sure if it is possible to know allot about genetics's lol)...
OEGB are very confusing when it comes to colors... Some...
Wheaten and BBR are totally different colors... The males are similar but the females are very different colors... if you have the time u can create Blue Wheaten from a blue or splash and from Wheaten... but it will take at least 3 generations to get the hens color back right... it is much...
Good OEGB are very hard to find around my neck of the woods... the couple of breeders that have good stock that i have found are all 4 or more hours away from me... and a ton of the colors are just not available anywhere in AR that i can find... i looked for splash all last year and did not find...
wow mine are totally different mostly black/dun with red heads and some times they are totally a really really dark red... that's what i get for crossing with a black based bird... i think they will pro be smilier to this there next generation... ill try to post some pic's soon...
i am looking for some B/B/S birds... i have duns and have an order from cackle hatchery for 15 splash... i am looking for some blacks that are SQ to improve my duns and the splashes that i have coming... i would consider blue or splash as well...
Thanks, Elias

i would say breed them and see... if they have good type and you hatch out a bunch of chicks you are bound to get some with no white on them... but you wont know tell you try... and if they are not the really good type i would not bother...
