There is already an old chicken coop here made out of tin. It needs some work, but the run is what is costing us $$$$$. We have a lot of predators here and plan on doing it right the first time. The $500 includes the other supplies too.

I never thought of the dump! If I spend less on supplies I could spend the difference on fabric!

Hubby just said we can spend $500 on coop and run construction and $100 on chicks I am so excited...never had such a large budget! We sold two used cars today, going to become a one car family since we only drive anywhere once or twice a week. No use in having three vehicles, right?

My DH would kill me if I had 150 chickens! We are debating over 25! One son is begging for some Polish on our new order and so far, no has been the answer but I might accidentally order some . I wonder if there are any chicken breeders local to me. I haven't had any luck finding anyone yet.
