    @megpie021 they are brahma/silkie, leghorn/silkie, cochin/silkie, turkin/silkie mixes, nothing pure. We will be hatching pure D'Uccles soon though.

    Is anyone up north looking for barnyard mix birds? We have a couple of interesting mixes they are 2 weeks old. At the moment we think the Cochin/Silkie is going to be a roo but it really is too early.

    I put her back on the nest and blocked her in. She adjusted eggs and sat and hasn't moved since. But I was out of the house for about 2.5 hrs. So realistically, she could have gotten off right after and been off the whole time but I don't know. I guess time will tell...

    Well my broody was off the nest today for possibly as long as 2hrs then she went back to the nest like it was nothing... We shall see. Today is day 8 and we candled.... One broken, 5 questionable, 22 still look good... I think.
