I am pretty sure we have two drakes on our hands. They are 8 weeks and still all brown, but their bills are lighter and I saw some green color on the top of their heads when in the sunlight.
Anyway, can I keep them together or will i have to separate them at some point?
Also, they have been with...
First photo of ducklings in blue pool:
I’m picking up these two cuties tomorrow to go with my 4.5 week old saxony, Rouen, and mystery ducks! I’m thinking the brownish one may be a khaki Campbell and not sure on the black one? Can someone help me ID?

Hi, I have had ducks for a few years now. My female Rouen I have had is part of my original flock (4 years). On Sunday I noticed she had a broken/sprained wing as it was hanging down, I caught her and examined it, she didn’t have any visible break but she also didn’t have any strength in it so I...
Everything I've read has told me that my black babies are blue Swedish ducks (I was hoping for Cayugas) & that my tan babies are Welsh Harlequins. What do you think? 😫 I'm so anxious to know what breeds these babies are so I can build an enclosure that is suited to house them!
Ps, I do know...
Someone posted the picture below on Reddit, asking if they should try to catch the Pekin in the photo, as it is clearly not going to fare well in the wild. The obviously answer is yes, but I’m questioning the drake in the background. If the white one is truly a Pekin, that would make the other...
Hello everyone. I have 3 beautiful ducks who I got when they were around a week old. A pekin, rouen and black swedish. My pekin and black swedish are one or two days older and started to quack but my rouen still hasn't started to quack. She also has one wing drooping down which I think is called...
Hi all,
I have a question about these ducks I got from rual king. I was told two different types of duck these could be. Some told me they are mallards and some say they are rouens. I am very confused now because I thought they are mallards. Can anyone give me their opinion on what they might be.
I'm interested in pairs of Exhibition quality Fawn and white Runners, white runners, Cayuga, Dutch Hookbills, Australian Spotted, Rouen, and Welsh Harlequins. Also looking for Pomeranian Geese and Pilgrim Geese in exhibition quality. These are for a preservation project, though offspring may be...
My Rouen Clair, (Jeffrey) suddenly stopped walking today. I checked her all over for bites and could only find some pulled feathers but I don’t know if those were there before. She started walking funny yesterday but I thought it was a burr this morning she couldn’t even walk out of the pen. She...
We bought these 3 at Tractir Supply in May. From what I’ve read the one in the middle of the second picture is the drake and the other 2 are hens. It’s since been confirmed by their sounds. They are slightly smaller than my Pekins but not by much. Rouen or Mallard?
What would be some tell tell...
I acquired this little girl with another who unfortunately died from injuries the next day from a farm supply chain store. She has angel wing as a result of her injury. They were very tiny compared to the khaki Campbell and Runner ducklings in the tank, both were soaked and shivering. The one...
Hello everyone!
I’ve been raising my 3 Rouens for just over a year now and one of my 2 girls has been acting strange for the past week or so. She’s super aggressive and loud to anyone who goes in the garden and I’m not sure if it’s a seasonal thing or if she’s just being broody. We take out her...
Located in Bozeman, Montana. We will deliver them to you or meet you in town.
I have 4-5 year old chickens and ducks in need of homes. Unfortunately I'm not sure who is still laying, but some of the hens are still laying some eggs. Any of them anyone is willing to take in would be a blessing...
My Rouen and mallard both went broody and one duckling has hatched! I have no experience with this and would love some tips! They are still sitting on a full nest so I’m guessing there’s more to come. Do I have to do anything special? The Rouen is keeping the other 3 ducks away from the one...
