••• IMPORTANT - Read Regarding BYC Downtime & Malware Warning •••

Quote:
Yes it is. In Firefox, at the top go to Tools~Clear Recent History. Make sure you choose "everything" and check cookies and cache. Restart your computer or at least Firefox.

No joy, still getting the warning with the blocker enabled.

Does it happen when you uncheck it? Are you going to tools~options~security under "block reported attack sites"? Mine is checked and I'm getting here just fine. Try unchecking it while you're on here. What's happening?

Also what I did was run AVG scan and Malwarebytes scan which showed I had several Trojan Horse viruses. Once I got rid of those viruses, and AFTER Google reinstated this site as safe, I was able to get on with the "block reported attack sites" turned ON.

YAY BYC is back.

I went over to BYH when that happened since I couldn't post anything here... and then THAT site went down and it was radio silence. SO glad we've got such a good team to keep this great site going!!

yup - Saturday got the warning - computer shut down - took the computer into the computer ICU - had 4 viruses adn 290 malware/spyware removed. Just had the computer cleaned one month ago...

unfortunately, stuff like this happens...

Just want to say THANKS for jumping on this! I'm new on here and addicted! My warning just came on late yesterday afternoon. I use a Mac w/Safari and Google cleared the site earlier this AM. I haven't had any problems.

I have Microsoft Security Essentials also and yesterday when I tried to post a reply on the Okies in the BYC thread it caught a bug and kept it from doing anything to my machine the bug was something like trojanwin32 something anyway wasn't sure where it came from and backed out of the site just in case, ran a scan and MSE cleaned it up so no harm done, Glad to know you guys are on the job (and Good job BTW!!) to get things like that fixed so we don't have to suffer the withdrawls for too long,

My hubby is a "computer god" trained by IBM and we don't use any anti'virus software. He says most of those are just benign virus's themselves. LOL. Nope, whenever we get a bug, he just does the old, format/reload. Quick as a wink, we're squeaky clean again.

I hadn't been on BYC for a while. Glad I missed all the mess.
