~«Survival By War»~ (Warrior cat rp)

Mink squirmed further beneath the larger female's belly, still throwing her ineffective scratches. Calling on the power of logic, she reasonably guessed the underside of this cat had to be more sensitive and just clung to the hope that she'd find herself an out soon. Cowardice, sure, but there can't be any value in me falling here.
Nightbird felt the stinging pain of Mink's claws glancing against her hind legs. She scrambled at her flanks, her blows becoming uneven as she struggled to avoid the other cat's wild scratching. She grunted in pain and loosened her grip on the tribe cat as Mink managed to land a vicious claw on her exposed stomach.

As helpless against the burly she-cat's clutches as a mouse pinned by a prey-hunter, Wolf had seen it all through hazed eyes. His mouth moved jerkily, but no sound came.
Was there really any noise to express this pain?
"You know, I have half a mind to make this the end of the line for you," Brightclaw commented boredly, flicking a particularly long claw out and observing how his blood systemically dripped from it. "Have those remaining kits grow up without knowing their father. Deerpaw, you're not hurting him enough. Dig deeper," she added snappily to her son.
Deerpaw complied immediately and advanced to an entirely new level of flesh-shredding. Wolf's once-proud shoulders became absolutely nothing more than the muscle that normally defined them.
Brightclaw's head suddenly snapped up and swiveled around, having just realized that her daughter wasn't partaking in this carnage fest as Brightclaw would've liked her to. "Ivypaw, come here."
Ivypaw shook herself out of her stupor and meekly moved to her mother's side.
Brightclaw nodded down at Wolf with that horribly malevolent glint in her eyes. "His eyes, Ivypaw. Ruin his eyes."
Ivypaw couldn't keep her mouth from gaping as her mother's request registered. She tilted her pretty head and stared at the poor tom for a weighty moment, unsure of just how far she wanted to damage her personal morals.
"Ivypaw." Brightclaw's fangs clacked together with noisy impatience and one of her injurious paws rose to hover over her daughter's head, making it perfectly clear that she wasn't to be denied. "Do it."
It was then that Ivypaw declared her ultimate severance from her Clan once and for all. She performed what was desired of her quickly and without pride; two quick sweeps of her claws and the agonized amber gaze turned to solid scarlet. His screams deafened her at the same time that she was deaf to them. She backed away with a bowed head and returned to her mother's side, feeling little more than a vessel of pure shame.
"There," Brightclaw purred contentedly, her voice nothing short of tainted honey. "I assure you that you'll find life to be fantastic from now on."
With that, she stalked off on elegantly stiff legs, her son following just as smoothly.
Ivypaw remained riveted to the spot, her gaze just as blank as the afflicted eyes of the writhing tom at her paws. "I'm so sorry," she choked out eventually. Every part of her was throbbing with a great distress. "So, so, so sorry."
Then she whirled around and fled for the heart of the war.

She grunted in pain and loosened her grip on the tribe cat as Mink managed to land a vicious claw on her exposed stomach.
Mink seized her precious opportunity as it came to her and slithered free with the ability of her namesake. But before she made her absolute escape, she paused to hold her former opponent's flaring eyes firmly. "I hope you're happy for what your leader has brought upon us all," she snarled hatefully, then swiftly darted away for the nearest tunnel.

Rainstar blood-stained claws dug into the ground, tail lashing from side to side. She raised a gray paw, seeming ready to slam it down onto Wish's head, when she turned, staring out of the den. Close to the edge of the battle, she spotted Dovepaw fighting close by. Wait, horror coursed through her veins faster then adder poison when she saw what was happening. Dovepaw was not fighting against the Tribe. Instead, she stood over a young apprentice aged Tribe-cat, lashing blows at a PineClan Tom.
"NO!"
Rainstar's screech of sheer horror ripped itself from her throat in futile attempt to stop Dovepaw from defending a Tribe cat. She stared, almost transfixed in horror as one of her own cats, one of her own precious clan, raked her claws across a the PineClan cat's face.
Fury shot through her veins faster then adder venom, and with speed almost to the impossible extreme, Rainstar tore across the clearing, forgetting Wish, forgetting the kit. Her mind was set so stone dead on one thing: Kill, kill, kill, kill the traitor!
She slammed violently into Dovepaw's side, slamming the tiny she-cat to the ground viciously. Her lips were pulled back, revealing her blood-stained fangs, her breathing ragged and heavy, and her eyes glittered with the insanity of a cat who had completely lost it. "What. Were. You. Doing?" She snarled, almost completely breathless. Her muscles twitched, her body shuddering involuntarily, out of rage or exhaustion was the question though.
The she-cat under her struggled and writhed, but Rainstar's assaulting grip didn't loosen. "Doing what was right." Dovepaw spat, ears flattened.
Rainstar shrieked, lifting one paw from the cat's shoulder, and dug her claws into Dovepaw's side, and dragged them across her pelt, relishing in the yowls of pain. "Right? Right?! You were protecting a Tribe cat!"
"This is a unjust battle, Rainstar! They may have killed Tigerstorm and Hawkwing, but why? Because of you! You attacked them first! They have never attacked us! They are starving, they don't have enough prey. That's why they hunt on our territory." Dovepaw hissed, eyes narrowed.
Rainstar paused, staring down at her with pale, rain blue eyes full of fury. Her muscles spasmed and shuddered with rage, her claws dragging down Dovepaw's side slowly and painfully. "You dare to say that in front of me?" She hissed, her voice steady and surprisingly calm. "You dare to defy my leadership?!" She lunged forward, slamming her jaws around the she-cat's forleg, and snapping her jaws closed with a force so strong, she felt bone crack beneath her teeth. She pulled back, grinning maliciously as Dovepaw screeched and writhed.
"I...d-dare...to defy...y-y-your l-leadership." Dovepaw panted, holding her injured paw to her chest.
Rainstar's teeth sank into the flesh of Dovepaw's shoulder, tearing and ripping flesh and fur and muscles, the apprentice's shrieks just urging her on.
Claws raked the tender flesh of the young she-cat's side, fang's tore at muscle, blood the color of roses drenching the ground and both of the gray pelts. Dovepaw's shrieked ceased as Rainstar stopped clawing, instead staring the apprentice in the eye.
Dovepaw felt dizzy, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she met Rainstar's gaze. "H-happy?" She hissed. "You attacked your own Clanmate, a apprentice at that. That really shows good leadership, Rainstar." Dovepaw's voice was trembling, but even so she managed to coat it in bitter sarcasm.
Rainstar lashed her tail, and shook her head, spattering the cave ground with crimson. "Night-night." She whispered suddenly, her voice just barely audible. Then she lunged, teeth sinking into Dovepaw's throat, her claws raking furiously at the apprentice's belly. Blood filled Rainstar's mouth, and she pulled away, grinning.
Dovepaw's strangled screech was cut off, her eyes wide, her body twitching but unable to jerk convulse due to Rainstar's weight. She could barely breathe, her lungs were on fire, she was sure of it. Flamepaw...Frostpaw...I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! She felt oddly light all of the sudden, the pain ebbing away slowly. White light flashed before her eyes, the cave becoming fuzzy. "....s-s-s-sorry..." She choked out, drawing in one last, ragged half-breath, before succumbing to the light, and falling...falling...falling...before she landed, surrounded by the screeches of cats once more, but this time in a starlit meadow.
Rainstar grinned, stepping off the she-cat. "Now they'll see what happens when someone betrays me."

The battle seemed to freeze, all eyes were on Rainstar's display. All fighting had seemed to stop as they watched the Pineclan leader attack one of their own. Leopardmoon stood frozen too, she was in shock as the leader came down on poor Dovepaw. Move, Leopardmoon stop her, MOVE! Her mind yelled desperately while her long legs stayed locked up. She finally took a step forward then another before long she was bounding pass cats, tears streaming down her eyes knowing she'd get to Dovepaw's side too late as she watched Rainstar dig her fangs into Dovepaw's throat without hesitation. Leopardmoon skidded to a halt besides Dovepaw's collapsed body, putting her tail on her on the apprentice in sorrow. "How could you do this..." she whispered through gritted teeth "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!" she lifted her head up to roar at Rainstar, her voice dripping with rage before she shook her head and turned her attention to Dovepaw. "Dovepaw... Dovepaw was a good cat, better than you by far... she had a good heart and... and she deserved to live long enough to become a warrior..." Leopardmoon rambled quietly before lifting her head high, staring Rainstar in the eye as she spoke loudly with hope the other Pineclan cats would take in what she says "Starclan has a new warrior joining them in an unjustifiable way... Dovepaw had served her clan well now and with my own power as Deputy, I now pronounce her warrior name so she can use it proudly in Starclan's hunting grounds! Dovepaw will be know as Doveheart for no cat could compare to her in kindness and in moral!"
