«We Could Be Legends»

"Hey, Wolfram. It's just me, Lachlan. And my mom, River. You're fine, we're at Toby's mom's place." Lachlan said, unsure of what he should do.
Wolfram let out a guttural growled, twisting his head to see the source of the voice. He flattened his ears, growling softly. Come on eyes...work! He tilted his head slightly, his vision clearing enough he could make out the face of the person. Who is.....Lachlan! He relaxed, letting out a soft mew as he sheathed his claws, glancing up at Lachlan apologetically.

Jessi glanced out the window. "They're here!" She said, running out of the house and over to Toby. She smacked him, and then pulled him into a tight hug. "Geez woman, what is wrong with you? Why did smack me?" Toby asked, looking shocked at what just happened. "Because you've made me worried sick. If you get hurt again I will kill you."
"Uh huh. Pretty sure you're already killing me with this stupid house. Please tell me that me getting smacked every time I'm here won't turn into a habit." Toby said, hugging her back.
"Oof, right, sorry about that. At least you won't have to deal with mom."
"Mom is the least of my concern right now. Can you let me go? This is starting to get weird." Jessi took a few steps back. "We ordered pizza, it should be here any minute. Hey guys, we should go inside before someone gets hypothermia." She said and walked inside, followed by Toby.
Brisa stepped back as Jessi rushed by, chatting excitedly, followed by Toby. Glancing back out, she saw that Lachlan seemed to be having trouble with... a cat? Oh! She thought as the realization hit her, followed by a slight twinge of dread. That must be Wolfram! He looks so tiny in his cat form. She had never really given much thought to animal shifters, and although she had seen a few at school, she had never really seen them in their animal skins, even Aunt River or Aunt Misty.

Lachlan gave Wolfram a reassuring grin, before sliding out of the car and allowing River to shepherd him inside after she closed the truck door.
He stumbled into the huge white house, not exactly sure what to do, and nearly rammed into a agitated looking Camilla, receiving a sour glower from her.
A quiet mumble sounded behind him and his ringing ears didn't allow him to understand what the voice had said, until River's louder voice announced her other son's name. Lachlan whirled on his heels, still holding Wolfram. "Finlay! Thank you very much for not being dead."
(Sorry it's not the best, my brain isn't working.)

"Make yourselves comfortable." Jessi said. "Looks like the pizza is here." She walked to the door and grabbed the pizza. She paid, and walked back inside. "Who's hungry? I got a few with pepperoni & a few with just cheese. If you don't like pizza then there should be other things in the fridge to eat."

Wolfram struggled from Lachlan's arms, dropping to the ground on three paws, holding his injured one to his chest. He stood there for a minute, looking around the house, and then at Finlay. He tilted his head, realizing it was Lachlan's brother he saw the other night. He twitched his whiskers, contemplating if he had enough energy to shift. Eh, screw it. Seconds later he had successfully shifted into his human form, without draining all his energy. He put a hand on the wall to steady himself, looking at Finlay, panting. Then he looked at Lachlan."What the hell happened to me?"He hissed through gritted teeth.

Lachlan turned to Wolfram, stumbling away from his mother and brother who had crowded around him. "After you got in that argument with Toby, you ran off and seemingly decided it was a good idea to ram your hard into a white pine as hard as you could, I took you back to the car and we left, you passed out from your multiple stabs and concussions you've acquired, and we ended up leaving Indigo and going the rest of the way here in Toby's car."

Jessi glanced Wolfram. "You look starving, eat some pizza." She said, gesturing to the kitchen. Toby sighed, and tossed his backpack on the floor. "Alpha, go lay down." He said, and walked outside. He walked behind the house and into the forest. He walked along a trail. After a few minutes, he walked off the path and on to step stones until he reached two very large tree. He looked up and saw a platform around two stories tall. He climbed the tree and entered it. The tree house had a glass roof and was open on one side. In it was a hammock, and a desk. He climbed the tree a little higher, and reached into a hole in the tree, pulling out a black backpack. He threw it on the ground and climbed down. He walked back to the house and went inside. Toby walked into one of the bathrooms, and took a quick shower. He dug around in the backpack and pulled out a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt, and a black hoodie. He got dressed and walked back downstairs. "I found my old get away backpack. Surprisingly the clothes were still clean and still fit." Toby said to Jessi. "How do you think I can get the blood off my shoes? Oh, I'm glad I wore these boots, because they're my COMBAT boots, and I was in COMBAT. Get it? Get it?" He said, snickering. Jessi rolled her eyes. "I can't believe you're older than me."

"You know, Lach."Wolfram grumbled, putting a hand to his head, wincing."That was really, really stupid of me."Snorting, he looked over at River, and suddenly looked pale as a sheet, remembering he yelled at her earlier. He looked away quickly, eyes wide. Wait...there are so many other teens here...I wonder if Bleddyn's here...No...she won't be. Why would she be here? That's stupid to think.

"Where we came from," Indigo drove up to the Pure base. Emily ran toward the car and deposited Toby's keys in her hand through the window and she dropped them in Toby's, unlocking the doors. "You can go to your car now, it's safe."
"Does anyone else need me to ferry them places?" She asked in an irrate way.
Misty signed and fell back into the seat with an elongated "augggghhhhhhh." She did not feel like getting the kids injured or herself injured again for that matter. She glanced down at her kids once again then looked up, lashing her tail in a playful motion. "Lets go then," she smirked.
