«We Could Be Legends»

Toby was just about to say something, when Taylor entered. His eyes widened, and he cursed, a lot louder than he intended. He dropped his head down and pulled the hood on his shirt over his head, casually trying to sneak into another room. Please no, please no, please no. He had recognized her as the girl he met after he ran from the park.
Wolfram couldn't stifle a snort. "Dude I know she's pretty but come on..."
River gave him a sort of crazed half smirk. "No one said you have to believe me." She chirped, before shooting a glance at Lachlan who was starting to kneel in-front of Camilla. "Let her sleep, Lachlan, it's best. She'd be in worse mental pain awake." She murmured.

River glanced at the door. "Isn't that the kid who yelled at Mapleshade on my porch? Huh."
Wolfram shrugged, opening the door. "TayTay?" He queried quietly as she stepped inside. She was very pale now, unlike normal where her skin would be very tan. "Wolf she's insane!" Taylor spun on her heel to face him with wide green eyes. "She's going to far! And now I'm very confused....what this key she was talking about." She glanced at River, not noticing her there till just then. "Hello..."

"It's not that, I know her. After the park incident when I left, she came up to me. I was not… in my right mind, or whatever the saying is, so she probably thought I was a crazy, homeless, drug addict. Well, the first part would be right." Toby replied, nervously.

Taylor looked up when she came in, catching his words. She chuckled softly, giving him a friendly smile. "I don't think you're crazy."

Toby turned around. "Uh huh." He said, and smiled awkwardly. She's a liar, of course she thinks you're crazy. Who wouldn't?

"Looks like some explaining is in store." River noted dully, before she cocked an eyebrow at Taylor as she noticed her for the first time. "Uh, hey, kid." She murmured. I must look terrifying. She thought, realizing that drying blood matted her hair, tears ran down her face, multiple cuts dripping with crimson blood covering her throat and head, a loaded gun in a holster on her hip, her clothes shredded. Let her be afraid, who cares? I don't. "So, Mapleshade attacked you? And she wanted the key? Did she say anything else?" She asked sharply, strolling forward to stand at the girl's side, her head twisted down to look at the shorter girl.

If Taylor took any notice to the older women's appearance, she didn't show it. "First she said something about wanting to know where this idiot was." She pointed to Wolfram, silencing him with her magic before he could make a retort.
"And then she told me she wanted the key, and that if I failed her I would be in trouble or something. "

Woah violet eyes. Did not see that coming. "Shall I take that 'uh huh' as you believe me or what?" Taylor asked.

"Uhh…… I-um- what?" He said stupidly. The panic that was starting to enfold him was keeping him from thinking properly. "Oh! Um, yeah, I don't really believe you, but-uh- whatever. I'm just gonna go over there." He mumbled, gesturing into the kitchen. He sighed when he was out of view, and slumped over at the table, trying to calm down before he had another panic attack.

'Lily did nothing to you. Take her back! She loves you! Come on idiot, no one else is gonna fall for you, just take her back.' Wolfram looked up from the text, and was met by the icy blue eyes of Bleddyn. "Um...hi....yeah..." His pale fingers fumbled with the volume on the phone, turning it down until it was completely mute. Voice's played with his mind, like it was a puppet and child would play with. 'Someone will always be there for you.' 'No one else is going to fall for you!' He narrowed his eyes, snapping back to his senses when he realized he was still staring at Bleddyn. "Sorry...about.....uh...that." Shaking the voices from his mind, he nervously glanced behind her, as if expecting her father to come from no where.
"It's 8:30." Wolfram replied bluntly, his face lighting up with the blue glow of his phone. Oh how I would love to punch both Lily and her stupid friend in the face right now!!!
'Fine!'
'You aren't good enough for her anyway. She deserves someone so much better then you, a depressed, suicidal, Bi-Poler, unpredictable, untrustworthy jerk. Just so you know dude, she was your only chance at love! She loved you unconditionally until you started neglecting her!'

He hissed, gritting his teeth together.
'Maybe she'll be happier with who ever she cheated in me with. Good for her. And for the record, Taylor, I never neglected her. I loved her more then you can comprehend. And quite frankly I still do, but...I can't trust her. Not after she betrayed me. I wouldn't keep texting me, I and a few people I know can pack a pretty powerful punch when we want to.'
He tossed his phone onto the couch, pulling the hood free of his face. Somehow sending those few words to Lily's pathetic friend had seemed to lift a weight from his shoulders. Like the sunlight had drawn the darkness from his mind. Maybe moms death still hangs over me, maybe we're still being stalked by Mapleshade and dad, but...maybe I have to stop being so pessimistic to defeat them.
"

Wolfram just stared at Toby, eyes wide. "You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me." His voice was almost emotionless, but his eyes showing shock. "You....you just called Taylor rude and stupid? You don't even know her! How dare you judge someone before you even know them!"
(I thought Taylor was the "stupid friend" that spam texted Wolfram? XD)

Taylor watched him with a sympathic gaze, and sighed softly. I didn't mean to scare him... The frown on her face deepened as she turned back to River.
